When placed on the hull of the boat where water inlet is required, a sea cock water strainer scoop can help to prevent large items, such as river debris, sticks, weeds and more, from being drawn in to the water system.

The hull scoop helps to protect the internal sea cock water strainers, sea cocks and water systems from clogging and reduces the risk of further damage to, for example, engine cooling system, engine water pumps and impellers.
